What We're Learning:


Math: We will be on expanded notation, decimals, and how decimals relate to fractions.

RLA: We will be focusing on launching our reading and writing workshops.  Students will be able to create a purpose for reading and begin brainstorming and working on a first draft for a personal narrative in writing.

Science: We will be demonstrating safe practices and using the scientific process to explore science labs.

Social Studies: We will use geographic tools to read and construct a map.  We will also locate each region and identify landforms, climate, and vegetation in Texas.

Health & Hygiene Presentations for All Grade Levels


The week of September 11th, each class will be presented a Heath & Hygiene presentation during Specials in the gym. PK-4th boys and girls will be together reviewing topics include washing hands, covering coughs, brushing teeth, and bathing. 5th grade boys and girls will be separated reviewing topics include washing hands, covering coughs, brushing teeth, bathing and deodorant. We've had a number of students report covid on the regular absence reporting link and not through the covid dashboard. Can everyone send out a reminder -if their child tests positive for covid they must report it through the Covid-19 dashboard. We will email the parents the return to school date.
Some parents are reporting it through the regular absence link and they are returning to school prior to the 5 day quarantine.
Thank yall for getting the message out to parents.

Also it's a great time to remind them to email me to report a positive flu test. 

*For staff- if you test positive and report it you will have to stay home for 5 days from the positive test*

If you need to make a transportation change for your student, you MUST e-mail: srestransportationchanges@libertyhill.txed.net, by 1 pm in order to make that change.  Teachers will not be able to accept written notes, emails, or phone calls for transportation changes.
